About Courtyard Flowers
Introducing myself, Deb, founder and owner of Courtyard Flowers which was established in 2018. Married with two sons and my Cocker Spaniel, Georgie, I’ve lived in the lovely village of Frampton Cotterell for the last twenty years.
Courtyard Flowers is located within a former stable, within the heart of Frampton Cotterell. It is a small yet gorgeously, quirky space with the aim of preserving the natural, rustic look of the original building (I have even kept the original horse tack on the wall!). It has become my happy place, meeting and chatting with local residents and providing a floral service to the village and surrounding areas. As well as selling cut flowers, bouquets, and indoor/outdoor plants, I'm able to provide artistic flower designs for weddings, funerals and events and also contract work. I also hold seasonal workshops providing the creative tools and knowledge to make stunning seasonal wreaths and special occasion bouquets.
My passion has always been for all things creative, never happier than when making things, studying art and design at school. My career path has differed over the years, working mainly in offices. After starting my family, I decided to boost my creative skills by training and qualifying in Interior Design, and shortly after in Floristry. As a newly-qualified florist, my first step was to become the in-house florist at The Bath Priory Hotel, where I have been for the last 10 years, whilst providing flowers for some of the Priory’s Cotswold sister hotels. My role is in providing weekly, elegant floral arrangements for the hotel and its restaurant, and creating bespoke designs for its events and weddings. In addition, I am privileged to host seasonal workshops there for guests including extremely popular Christmas wreath making masterclass.
